This individual will be a key partner with our unit Office Managers and will be primarily responsible for reviewing and auditing all accounting processes related to the monthly closing of the general ledger and financial statements, sales and use tax, union audits and reporting, billing, and accounts payable.
This individual will also be involved in the fiscal year-end financial audit, as well as assisting during the annual budget process.
The ideal candidate for this role will:
be independent with a drive for process improvement, have solid problem-solving skills, have an ability to train and be a resource to other employees, and challenge the status-quo and not be afraid to ask questions.
Other requirements include:
- Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5
years of Construction Accounting experience. - Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, including financial reporting, balance sheets, accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Knowledge of Windows applications, including Office 365 and advanced Excel and Accounting software skills.
