Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of a(n) Engineering Equipment Operator without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform common Engineering Equipment Operator tasks. I am skilled in welding and metal fabrication, and operating heavy equipment (such as crawler, hydraulic excavator, front end loader, backhoe) to excavate or trench/grade surfaces. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) and Ability to Operate Safely (Non-Motor Vehicle)Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)Operation of Motor VehiclesReliability and Dependability as a Engineering Equipment OperatorWork Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) PHYSICAL EFFORT--Light to moderate effort is required in steering the boat and handling fenders, mooring lines, and cargo. Moderate effort is expended for maintenance work but occasionally heavy effort is required to handle anchors and when assisting mechanic in major overhaul work. Coordination of hands, eyes, body, and legs is needed to work safely on wet and moving decks. While operating a motor vehicle light physical effort is used in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Moderate effort is required to handle objects weighing up to 20 pounds, occasionally may have to handle up to 50 pounds while loading and unloading cargo. Moderate to heavy effort is required to use the tools and equipment to cut brush and trim lines. WORKING CONDITIONS--Exposed to sun, wind, spray, rain and sleet when mooring, unmooring, anchoring or weighing anchor or coming alongside to contact other vessels. Most work is performed from a sheltered pilothouse. Exposed to possible falls on deck and the possibility of falling overboard. A life jacket is worn at all times while on deck. While driving vehicles exposed to the possibility of serious accidents. Subject to cuts, bruises, broken bones and strained back as a result of accidents while driving or when loading and unloading vehicles, while using tools and equipment to cut brush and trim lines, and while performing maintenance duties.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
