Relocation Center and Travel Programs Manager

This position will serve as the Relocation Center and Travel Programs Manager in the Midwest Regional Office of the National Park Service (DOI Regions 3, 4, 5). The incumbent serves as the MWR financial expert with overall responsibility for all phases of travel. Manages a consolidated relocation center for Permanent Change of Station (PCS) travel; serves as the main point-of-contact and subject-matter-expert for temporary duty and relocation travel entitlements; reviews reports to certify the validity of unliquidated travel obligations; and is also involved with other travel related tasks and assignments as they related to budget and financial management. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-10/06/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess at least one full year of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:

Specialized experience is experience that equipped a candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of specialized experience include, but is not limited to, the following:
The ability to manage, direct, or serve as a program manager in the implementation of highly complex programs related to all aspects of federal government travel and experience in developing effective working partnerships to facilitate successful program management. Interpret Federal rules, regulations, and entitlements pertaining to the wide array of temporary duty, temporary change-of-station, and permanent change of station travel entitlements. Manage subordinate employees that work in a Relocation Center that provides a full-range of relocation services to an average of 500
employees per year. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal service. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
