Education Technician

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the Agent in Place (AIP) for NWIHCS and oversee and follow the planning process for accreditation purposes of training that is developed and offered within the Health Care System. The incumbent will serve as the POC and work directly with National EES and the subject matter experts at the local level who are developing the training. Facilitate planning meetings, planning calls, conferences, travel arrangements and coordination of training events for Learning Resource Service. Gather, track, trend and maintain information on training programs and activities. Prepare, audit, maintain and organize training site files, documents and records. Follow standardized formats, templates and instructions using specific guidelines. Gather and compile information from various sources needed to develop work products. Develop and maintain assigned area(s) files with all necessary components to ensure accuracy. Input data into computer databases TRACE, Talent Management System (TMS), travel Concur travel, Business Intelligence Suite (BIS), etc. ensuring that data is current and correct. Identify problems, independently develop solutions, implement changes, and monitor improvements of LRS' education and training programs and policies to ensure they are customer-based, accessible, performance measured, and cost-effective; working closely with the LRS leadership, regarding recommendations for potential procedural changes and implementations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are imperative for this position. The incumbent must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of VA training sources, programming materials, techniques, and methodologies. Purchase Card Holder:
Incumbent is a purchase card holder and complies with all of the acquisition regulations both federal, VA and local to include SA, small business, Javis Wagner O'Day Act, and mandatory sources. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

Physical Requirements:
The work requires a combination of sedentary and light physical activities. Some walking, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and pushing are required to retrieve resources, provide minor adjustments to equipment, maintain records, and transport training materials throughout the Medical Center. Periods of time working at a computer terminal are required. The incumbent must have the capacity to be flexible and to handle somewhat stressful situations and multiple priorities. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
