Controls and Electrical Field Engineer I/II

The purpose of this position is to provide engineering and technical assistance to field operations, engineering and technical services groups for the evaluation, design, installation and repair of automation controls systems including:
human machine interface systems; programmable logic controller hardware and software and associated end devices.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide advanced programming efforts relative to natural gas driven reciprocal, turbine and electrical compressor systems. Interface with company engineering and construction, field operations, other technical services departments and third-party vendors/contractors to ensure safe and efficient operation of said equipment.
Provide advanced programming efforts relative to natural gas compressor station auxiliary systems and interface with company engineering and construction, field operations, other technical services departments and third party vendors/contractors to ensure safe and efficient operation of said equipment.
Develop software simulation applications for new applications to ensure programs can be tested and to allow testing of existing controller programs for the change control review process.
Provide input to engineering and construction, field operations, technical services and planning groups to assure the design, installation and operation of control systems meet company, governmental and industry codes and standards.
Interface with the controls system IT security team to ensure control system hardware and software solutions adhere to company cyber security Policies and Guidelines.
Review programming changes for programmable logic controllers and human machine interfaces relative to the change control process and assist in the development of scopes of work and implementation plans relative to the change requests.
Work on process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencies of control system operation.
Perform site visits to develop project scope documents to be used for project budgeting and engineering purposes.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation or engineering technology from an accredited institution.
Must have three or more years' experience in control system automation for engineer II level.
Must have a certification/membership in an automation related organization such as ISA; Rockwell Automation; CSIA etc.
Knowledge of natural gas industry standards and codes preferred.
Must be knowledgeable of multiple PLC software and hardware platforms including:
Rockwell ControlLogix 5, 500, and 5000; PLC5, PLC500 and ControlLogix 5000; Siemens APT and Workshop TI-505; Bristol ACCOL, 33XX; OPTO 22:
G4, Snap and PAC
Must have strong technical skills related to computer and control system networks including Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, ARCNET, wide area networks and server based human machine interface distributed systems.
Must have excellent technical writing skills to prepare reports relative to incident investigations, technical bulletins, project justifications and other reporting requirements.
Must be able to handle rapidly shifting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
Must be able to work in a functional team with peers geographically dispersed across Northern.
Must have excellent human relations skills to effectively operate in a team-oriented environment with a willingness to support team objectives.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to work closely with field teams and coordinate work with other appropriate technical resources.
Must possess a high level of commitment and personal initiative.
Must possess high level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must be able to provide resolution of complex problems in stressful situations.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Subject to callout 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Position may require considerable overnight travel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
