Business Systems Analyst/Sr Business Systems Analyst

Mutual of Omaha, a full-service, multi-line provider of insurance and financial services products for individuals, businesses and groups. We are seeking a motivated and talented Business Systems Analyst/Sr Business Systems Analyst to work on projects associated with the implementation of Individual Health product initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Identifies, develops, and evaluates alternatives to meet business requirements. Coordinates with internal and external business partners in developing or enhancing systems, processes, and procedures.
Develops business design documentation based on sponsor / customer requirements to effectively and accurately communicate project specifications to project partners.
May assist in maintaining vendor / business partner relationships.
Contributes to the development and implementation of comprehensive communications, training plans and materials for internal and external business associates and customers.
May coordinate the design, testing, and generation of new management reports as business requirements dictate. Partners with business areas to define solutions and resolve issues.
Develops, coordinates, writes and implements plans to test business and functional processes during business system development and quality assurance testing.
Develops and administers documentation of projects, recommendations, and implementation procedures. Communicates project outcomes in a clear, effective, and timely manner to necessary parties in the business areas and other customer areas.
Develops and maintains current knowledge of assigned business areas, Mutual of Omaha practices, the insurance industry, and the business environment. Improves understanding of business system tools, practices, and methodologies.
Provides estimated work effort for all tasks to be completed for a project assignment.
Partners and collaborates with the test automation area to develop effective test strategies for assignments.
Performs requirements testing through development of comprehensive test plans, execution of the test plan, documenting any problems encountered, and approving the changes for implementation and promotion.
Works within the team and with other departments to develop realistic timelines through efficient preplanning and organization, and monitoring of tasks and deliverables to ensure deadlines are achieved.
Contributes to developing and maintaining customer relations through positive working relationships with internal and external individuals.
Demonstrates and integrates Continuous Process Improvement review into all assignments

The Business Systems Analyst and Senior Business Systems Analyst levels have variable essential functions and qualifications. Competency and skill set will determine level of placement within the posted job family.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1-3 years of work experience in a Business Analyst role (techniques/tools, workflow analysis, and business systems terminology/standards) OR comparable experience with Mutual of Omaha's Individual products/processes
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong initiative; a self-starter
Demonstrated ability to effectively complete assignments independently or as a part of a team
Demonstrated ability to execute effective time management to meet aggressive project deadlines
Strong oral and written communications, human relations skills, facilitation and presentation skills
Strong ability to effectively complete multiple concurrent assignments
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access)
Preferred
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years experience gathering and documenting requirements from business partners and project sponsors
1 to 3 years experience and/or working knowledge of key product-related business functions, such as Underwriting, producer compensation, Health products' customer service and support, etc.
1 to 3 years experience testing system and process enhancements
Knowledge of Visio or other comparable flowcharting tools
Strong knowledge and/or experience with individual health insurance products, with an emphasis on Medicare Supplement products, Disability Income products, Health products' administrative systems, business processes and project management processes
Ability to complete workflow analysis and document process / business function workflows
Experience with a variety of project implementation methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, etc.
Experience with project management processes and tools
Experience with Lean process improvement techniques and tools

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
