Summary: As a member of the culinary team of Conagra Brands, this position will work directly with our Executive Chefs, assisting them on benchtop development across all brands and on events supported by our culinary team. This position will also work closely with our cross functional partners in product development, packaging, marketing, procurement and operations to deliver excellence in culinary product development.
Position
Responsibilities:
Maintain daily kitchen operations (sanitation, maintenance, & organization)
Assists Executive Chefs with benchtop development (weighing ingredients, making sauces, building product samples, etc.)
Assist with bringing culinary trends to the life for Conagra Brands
Participate in ideations and assist with development of new products
Procure, organize and maintain kitchen inventory for efficient and effective benchtop development
Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external events
Collaborate with product development and operation team to ensure efficient translation of product formulas
Participate in driving food culture of the organization
Assist with making food for new processing technologies that will expand the capabilities of Conagra Brands and support the testing of these technologies
Participate in research of food trends, testing of new technologies, and processes projects
Requirements
Associates Degree in Culinary Arts required; Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts/Science or related discipline preferred. (Food Science, Nutrition)
Ability to work independently and within a team setting

years of culinary experience within either restaurants or other food industries
1-2 years of culinary product development and/or commercialization experience
Passion for food
Strong culinary skills
Sense of curiosity and desire to learn and grow personally and professionally
Good verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and logical problem solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Basic understanding of food science principles
Basic understanding of business principles
Ability to collaborate cross functionally
Ability to travel up to 30%
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
Strong time management skills
Strong creative ability
Physical Requirements:
Incumbent must have the ability to effectively perform all of the following physical demands without assistance:
Ability to safely and comfortably lift 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time up to 4 hours
Work in a kitchen setting on various surface types.
Exposure to microwaves and testing equipment.
