SUMMARY OF JOB
Responsibilities:
Prepares and produces all types of Custom work on Flexographic printing presses, responsible for the entire printing process including quality of product produced.
(Essential Functions and Responsibilities)
Sets up and runs, from start to finish a Flexographic printing press. Setting impressions, adjusting ink colors, adjusting dies and finishes product to specification.
The Individual is measured in the area of productivity, waste, quality and attendance.
Management of ink colors to match customer samples or PMS book Familiarity with auxiliary tooling needs
The individual must achieve department standards for waste, productivity, quality and attendance.
The individual may be asked to do other duties as assigned.
Physical abilities include: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, standing for up to 100% of shift, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting on average 9# - 50#, up to 75# occasionally, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing including color vision.
Press operator needed for 2nd or 3rd shift, 5-day work week.
Minimum 2 years experience required.
Individual will run up to 8 colors on Flexographic printing presses.
Over time is sometimes required.
Qualified candidates will have a high school degree, be able to work well under pressure and have excellent problem solving abilities and great attention to details
