As our Seasonal Multimedia Specialist III, you will be responsible for digitally manipulating files electronically using state of the art, progressive, full service pre-press, digital print/web production, professional services technology to support on-line promotions, web content updates and print media deadlines. Troubleshoots technical issues and recommends and implements advanced solutions.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the operation of business website(s) performing day-to-day site maintenance, including image integrity, troubleshooting, maintaining PIM, ColdCache and Adobe Scene7 database(s)
Recommend standards for design, production and performance; stay up to date on the web's latest technologies, maintain integration of web-based data; make sure the site and its products are always multi-platform ready by leading, tracking, and facilitating the implementation of new web-related project and processes
Assist Team Leads in debugging issues that arise with the performance of the website, troubleshoot the site including content, links and videos
Assist with day-to-day management of PIM, Cold Cache and ACS including specialized queries, imports, exports and updates
Prepares digital files for print and web with strong emphasis on color theory, extensive color correction experience and retouching skills including outlines, photo manipulation, masking and merging with the ability to make any necessary adjustments using a highly refined set of systems, operating standards and the latest technology
Performs the function as the Multimedia lead on multiple print and web projects throughout the year and the production life cycle. Handles day-to-day issues and communicating with cross-functional departments
Ensures high quality web and sheet fed printing standards, web industry standards and processes by setting digital preferences and maintaining color calibrated quality standards throughout the process
Maintains organized workflow and integrity of the creative process. Adjusts as needed to maintain numerous schedule, priority changes and short notice activity
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Abides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
Here's what you need to join the fun:
Associate's degree in Graphic Design, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years experience in a pre-press, digital print / web production, professional services or business related field
Excellent color perception and a thorough understanding of color theory is essential
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills including scripting, coding, and database maintenance
Proficient using Macintosh platform utilizing Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Distiller, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, (or similar HTML editor), Filemaker, AppleScript, some JavaScript and other publishing software
Comprehensive understanding of preflight techniques and solutions to ensure accuracy and consistency based on established brand standards and approved print and web specifications
Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills
Able to work cross-functionally when needed
Detail oriented and able to multi-task
Able to understand company goals and establish, monitor and create systems to achieve those goals with minimal supervision.
