KETV, Hearst Television's ABC affiliate in Omaha has an opening for a PT Photographer/Video Editor. Video Editor for morning and some weekend evening newscasts. Will shoot news video from time to time
Responsibilities:Job
Responsibilities:
o Primary video editor for weekday morning show
o Primary video editor for some weekend evening shows
o Fill in as a news photographer as needed
Requirements:Qualifications Requirements:
o Ability of edit news material in a fast-paced environment
o Ability to work quickly without making errors
o Strong organizational skills
o Strong news judgment
o Understanding of legal issues as they relate to news stories and video
o Creativity
o News photography skills
o Ability to work as part of a team
o Willingness to learn, grow and adapt
Education:Education:
o Degree in Broadcasting, Journalism or related field. Four year degree preferred but two year degree will be accepted.
o Experience in lieu of degree
o Candidate working toward a degree
Experience:Experience Requirements:
o At least one year experience editing video in a news environment preferred
o New photography experience preferred
