Systems Support Analyst - West Business Solutions

West's Business Solutions group is looking for a Systems Support Analyst to join its team in Omaha! This position will be responsibile for incident management and resolution. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 2pm-11pm.
Main responsibilities include:
Responding to the day-to-day problems, while investigating the root cause of the problem ensuring that the problem does not occur again
Developing plans and processes designed to improve long-term capabilities of the system
Configuring and maintaining assigned platform and/or system, ensuring platform or system is operating correctly at all times without over-utilizing resources and is recognizing connections with other applicable machines on the network
Managing change control process, ensuring policies and procedures are followed by all responsible parties and recommended changes needed to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of the process
Education
Associate's degree in computer science or engineering, MIS, or related field or a Programming Certificate from a recognized institution is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience
Minimum two years experience supporting and maintaining a desktop operating system is required
Minimum one year help desk experience preferred
Technical
Minimum one year experience working in a multi-platform Information Technology environment, including direct experience with one or more of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Unix/Linux, or Solaris required. Networking and telephony knowledge preferred
Other
Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Ability to respond to incidents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
