# Job Description
Performs problem identification, escalation and resolution. May design, code, benchmark test, debug and document programs. Applications generally involve utility programs, job control language, macros, subroutines and other control modules. Performs impact analysis to output data processing based on user and client requirements. Analyzes documentation supporting changes in a complex production environment. Will communicate status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions. Performs additional job duties as required. Supports complex business projects/issues. Requires minimal supervision.
# Job Specific Responsibilities
The Return To Service team responsibilities leverages the individual's knowledge of multiple technologies and tools to provide trouble shooting and restore service functions accross First Data's complex platforms.
The main skills fall within the Distributed system administration environments Unix, Linux, VMware.
The position will require addressing issues with a sense of urgency to ensure prompt resolution in order to minimize or prevent system impact.
# Candidate Requirements
Knowledge in multiple programming languages and tools,
Various shell scripting
Financial banking and Merchant service industry experience
Strong Information Technology infrastructure background
Unix, open system administration experience
Database administration or development experience
Distributed Storage experience
Web, application and database server infrastructure experience
# Preferred Qualifications

yrs of related IT experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and appropriate certificates.
