# Job Description
The Senior Application Developer is to participate in the implementation and maintenance of web based interfaces and applications within the First Data Application Architecture. This person will be part of several smaller projects related to enhancing and maintaining web applications. The Senior Application Developer will implement business driven requirements based on the given standards and create solutions surrounding Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence functionalities and the support of the system test phase. The Senior Application Developer will work closely with the BI Tower Lead and the other BI Tower team members. In addition, this staff member is a key player in resolving production issues should they arise.
# Job Specific Responsibilities
Coordinate with implementation partners, other IT managers and developers in providing solution suggestions and constructive feedback. Use Their attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from operational and technical perspective to solve problems. Has the ability to evaluate and review design documentation and understand technical solutions to business needs.
Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends and standards.
Understanding of full development lifecycle phases.
# Candidate Requirements
Working knowledge in several areas including but not limited too:
PL/SQL
Stored Procedures
Linux/Shell Scripting
Understand Java principles.
Understanding of web based application.
# Preferred Qualifications
3
yrs. of related IT experience. Bachelor Degree at College of Engineering and Technology or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge or experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intellegence.
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communications.
Demonstrate ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
Understanding of ETL tools sets would be a plus.
