SYA Retreat: May 23rd 24th
SYA Training: May 27th 30th
SYA Academy: June 2nd August 8th
General
Job Description: The Program Assistant is to support and help every activity, duty and task that occurs during the day.
Must stay in the company of the assigned group throughout the day
Keep students in his/her group safe and orderly
Assist teachers in each class the student attends and eats lunch with that group
Give assistance to students as they work, eat and play
Manage an activity or project station the student is assigned to
Clean up after an activity
Support the learning of a small group or individual who may need assistance
Provide assistance to teachers and staff members as needed
Required Attire: Agency black polo shirt provided, knee length shorts, jeans or slacks
Needed Skills: Independent worker, team worker, able to positively direct children, able to follow multiple step instructions, handle varied tasks from day to day
Character Traits: Honest, trustworthy, self-motivated, responsible, flexible, patient, protective of those who are younger or smaller

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
