Storage Engineer - Omaha, NE - 6 month initial contract, 3-5 year project

Our client located in Omaha NE is in need of a Storage Engineer for an initial 6 month contract that could extend up to 5 years. The Storage Engineer is responsible for the installation, administration, data-migration, provisioning, and decommissioning of large multi-site SAN environments. Responsible for storage provisioning tasks beginning with end user requests, through the creation of LUNs, mapping, masking, zoning, and ensuring storage availability at the operating system. Responsible for storage performance analysis and troubleshooting as well as storage capacity management and planning. Will enable production and disaster recovery replication and testing. Responsible for data migration as part of data center consolidation. Will complete code and microcode upgrades. Will also manage end of life replacement and refresh. Plans and implements the design and installation of subsystems, software, and/or hardware.
Responsible for ITIL processes including change management, incident management, problem management, capacity management, and performance management. Responsible for maintaining storage documentation and standards. Understanding of IP networking including routing and firewall rules. Will be required to participate in rotating 24x7x365 on call duties
Responsibilities:
Design and configuring experience with fiber-based core / edge SAN tape and disk environments consisting of IBM tape libraries and tape devices, SUN/STK tape devices as well as Cisco/McData/Brocade switch/director infrastructure and EMC EDL disk subsystems
Development of documentation and maintaining storage standards
Plans and implements the design and installation of subsystems, software, and/or hardware.
Leads, conducts, and coordinates the analysis, planning, and implementation of systems software and/or hardware
Required Skills
Experience with backup and DR recovery technologies and techniques encompassing architecture, design implementation and support functions
Prior work experience with provisioning, troubleshooting, and administering EMC storage hardware including Symmetrix, VMAX, Clariion, NS, Enterprise Disk Library (EDL), Celerra, and Centera
Prior experience with IBM XIV and DS8000 arrays
Prior work experience with EMC SAN management tools - including EMC Control Center, Connectrix (ECFM), Time Finder, Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF), Performance
manager
, Storage Scope, Symcli, and NetApp (Onaro) SANscreen
Prior experience with IBM XIV and DS8000 arrays
Prior work experience with setup and zoning of enterprise SAN switches from Brocade and McData in a core/edge framework.
Perl scripting and web page development experience preferred.
A strong background with backup systems, both hardware and software is required. -Experience with Symantec Netbackup.
Familiarity with SAN-based and IP-based backup solutions.
Degree or equivalent work experience.

Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills
Speak Portuguese a plus
Self-motivated, reliable individual with the ability to delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
