The Foundation Development Officer is responsible for growing and maintaining a comprehensive major gifts program focused on attracting gifts in excess of $10,000.
Managing a portfolio of 150 major gift donors and high wealth prospects, the philanthropy officer builds strong relationships and actively develops a major giving pipeline of larger gifts and increased revenue.
Raising gifts over $10,000, the philanthropy officer is responsible for an annual goal of $1M.
The philanthropy officer will identify and qualify major gift prospects, develop compelling engagement strategies to cultivate, solicit and close gifts.
In collaboration with the foundation team, the philanthropy officer will prepare written proposals, gift agreements required to secure major gifts.
The philanthropy officer will effectively use Raiser's Edge database to maintain records of all prospect/donor interactions in order to track, evaluate and present giving information.
Responsibilities Foundation Development Officer Location:
CHI Health Creighton Bergan Medical Center Major Gifts - 60% Responsible for successfully managing a portfolio of 150 individuals, corporations and foundation donors and prospects.
Secure major gifts of $10,000 or more to reach an annual goal of $1M.
Cultivate new prospects through the creation and utilization of effective donor management strategies including grateful patients, service lines managers etc.
Effectively move a portfolio of prospects through the complete giving cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Ability to utilize a CRM system to track and cultivate donors and prospects.
Lead in the creation of proposals and grants for prospect meetings and solicitations.
Donor Pipeline - 20% Prospect new potential donors to forge relationships and sow the seeds for annual donors to perpetuate their giving through major and planned gifts to ensure a growing base of support.
Ensure that all major and planned giving donors receive appropriate, consistent recognition and an accounting of the impact their gift has on community needs annually.
Market Administration - 20% Attend planning meetings, build relationships with hospital leadership including physicians, service line leaders and executives in order to match hospital priorities with donor intent.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required.
Pay Range $33.
52 - $48.
60 /hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
