Shashank Dravid.
There is a rich neuroscience community at Creighton and surrounding universities with plenty of collaborative opportunities.
This position is available immediately.
It is M-F, Full-Time, On Campus, and Grant funded One line of research involves neural circuit analysis to understand the function of glutamate delta 1 and NMDA receptors related to pain, autism and schizophrenia.
Of particular interest are basal ganglia, striatal and amygdala circuits.
We are also interested in the roles of NMDA receptors in astrocytes and interneurons.
A second line of research involves drug discovery and molecular biology studies related to glutamate receptors and Alzheimer's disease.
We utilize genetic models, imaging, electrophysiology, in vivo manipulations, molecular biology and behavioral analysis to address these questions.
Super resolution, confocal microscopy and electron microscopy facilities are available for imaging experiments.
Biacore 8K SPR and high throughput imaging platforms are available to develop high throughput assays.
Job Details:
Performs basic or applied research of a limited scope, primarily using existing theories and methods.
Assists in the interpretation and publication of results and grants.
Assists in initiating, executing and completing the clinical research and experiments.
Prepares and writes research papers, presentations, grant proposals, etc.
Primary responsibility is ensuring that the research is complete.
Performs a variety of tests requiring a high degree of proficiency.
Evaluates experiment results using complex statistical and multivariate analysis.
Qualifications:
Graduate school degree with significant and relevant research experience would be considered Candidates with expertise in electrophysiology, neural circuit analysis, molecular biology, imaging or biochemistry techniques are encouraged to apply.
Strong ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently Excellent written and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs Recommended Skills Autism Behavioral Analysis Biochemistry Clinical Research Communication Hardworking And Dedicated Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
