We're hoping you're that future team member!Omaha is an air-conditioned environment with a team atmosphere and a commitment to safety and quality! What we're looking for The Production Scheduler is a supply chain role that will participate in the scheduling process.
This is a hands-on position responsible for coordinating production schedules to help drive the organization towards exceeding customer service levels.
Collaboration with other members of the supply chain and customer support teams is critical to achieving these sales and service objectives.
Creates work orders and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times.
Schedules identical processes to minimize duplicate setups.
Monitors materials inventories, coordinates, and expedites the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of material.
Ensures raw materials are available as schedules are created.
Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work.
Compiles production reports concerning progress of work to apprise planning personnel of changes.
Expedites operations that delay shipping schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Ensures that runs are prioritized for on time delivery.
Distributes work orders denoting number, type and proposed completion date.
Assists Demand Planner with planning system maintenance and alerts management of discrepancies.
Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need to be successful Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, and written procedures.
Committed and reliable team player with the ability to meet or exceed production targets.
Ability to work in teams, communicate one-on-one or in a small group.
Manual dexterity.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read and comprehend work orders.
Effective listening skills.
Commitment to safety.
Experience that will set you apart.
One (1) year prior experience in a manufacturing environment (including six (6) months in customer service).
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Associate's Degree strongly encouraged.
