Software Development Leader

As a Software Development Leaderat DMSi, you are part of the leadership team working to shape the culture of our development organization and will help our cross-functional teams create solutions that are meaningful to our customers and our business.

The ideal candidate sees the vision of how a team comes together and uses agile/lean practices to create products that exceed a customer's expectations and strengthens the foundation of that product based on the engineering and architecture experiences they have.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Leadership Lead one to three cross-functional software development teams to create solutions in alignment with product vision, iteratively and incrementally.
Serve as a member of the Development Leadership team to create strategies and plan improvements to aid in evolving the Development organization.
Team Practices and Collaboration Promote collaboration between the development teams and the Product Management, Technical Engineering, Architecture, and Support teams.
Ensure all agile activities are in place for their teams.
Create alignment to common goals and evolve ways of working that support the team's culture, predictability, quality, and craft.
Facilitate activities to gain feedback on products delivered.
Promote team learning and continual improvement.
Create focus and enablement for the development teams by anticipating and removing impediments, protecting teams' time to guard the ability to deliver, and driving practices to manage scope.
Instill a user-focus in team activities.
Create frequent feedback cycles to infuse insights from end-users, key stakeholders, and the production experience into the product development cycle.
Technical Excellence Apply judgment to incorporate key technical concerns effectively into product development including security, instrumentation, quality and monitoring, and technical debt.
Identify, activate, and facilitate technical solutions for novel challenges in coordination with architecture.
Delivery Guide development of delivery forecasts that lead to predictability.
Identify and develop meaningful metrics/measurements to support teams' ability to create success and continual improvement.
Support Product Management in the development of Objective Key Results.
Drive integration and delivery practices.
Mentoring Advocate and mentor best practices in product development, software engineering, and architecture.
Attraction, selection, career development, and coaching for software delivery team members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Design Thinking, User-Centered Design, Product Discovery, and modern Product Management preferred.
Experience with developing Software as a Service and evolving long-standing platforms preferred.
Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience promoting and communicating change messages.
Demonstrated skills in coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems,Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Five
years of direct experience in agile/lean methodologies in a software development environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal office environment with the use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
