POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the quality performance of his/her assigned areas.
The Quality Technician is involved with the development and execution of all aspects of quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Quality Control Completes product audits Reports quality levels and elevates visibility of quality problems Coordinates disposition of non-conforming material and follows-up to verify that disposition is completed properly Reviews operator Inspection Records for proper completion/documentation and maintains records Completes physical tests of raw materials and product Maintains process control of metal paintline pretreatment system Completes inspections of product for uniquely important customer orders Quality Assurance Interprets engineering specifications and develops control plans for process owners Develops/designs inspection processes and tools Performs process capability studies and analyzes results Completes process audits Maintains and calibrates inspection equipment used in the evaluation of production quality Completes first article inspections Develops visual and written quality standards Provides training to Operators and Production Supervisors on quality tools, procedures and inspection requirements Coordinates weekly Quality Review sessions with area employees Quality Improvement Identifies opportunities for process or product improvement Investigates causes of Customer Problems and internal quality problems and follows-up on corrective actions Leads and participates in problem solving efforts Demonstrate reasonable and regular attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications Education:
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year related experience (such as manufacturing) if degreed, minimum of 2 years related experience if non-degreed.
Required Skills:
