Job Duties Depending on your location, some or all of the following will apply:

Implement and enforce all company processes & policies 2.
Manage employee behavior per the company employee handbook; report serious or frequent violations to manager 3.
Enforce all safety policies & procedures; address all infractions and unsafe conditions immediately upon awareness 4.
Work with the Safety Director to remedy all unacceptable issues 5.
Maintain an appropriate quantity of safety supplies and equipment 6.
Hold weekly safety meetings with all service department employees 7.
Conduct safety orientation program with all new hires 8.
Assist the manager in recruiting, interviewing and hiring new employees 9.
Work in cooperation with other departments to achieve company and departmental goals 10.
Protect company assets 11.
Strive for customer service & satisfaction 12.
Open and close the store per company policy 13.
Be responsible for all keys given to you 14.
Be responsible for working with the manager to create annual Goals, Action Plans and/or and Project Plans 15.
Implement Action and/or Project Plans, reporting progress as written in the Plan 16.
Conduct annual PAR and PDP meetings and 6-Month updates with all direct reports 17.
Prepare weekly payrolls for assigned personnel and forward to appropriate person 18.
Schedule and assign jobs to service technicians 19.
Manage the after-hours service function.

Ensure service department vehicles are maintained per the manufacturers' and the company's schedules 21.
Ensure service vehicles are kept clean, inside and out 22.
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe service work area 23.
Maintain a clean, safe, orderly work yard 24.
Manage scrap tires and/or the scrap trailer:
loading, pick-up/swap 25.
Oversee the maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment:
compressors, lifts, jacks, tire balancers, pneumatic tools, tire hammers and irons, etc.

Maintain a proper inventory of shop supplies:
weights, valve assemblies, o-rings, OTR valves, cleaning materials 27.
Provide continuous, effective training of all service department personnel 28.
Other tasks and functions as requested by the manager.
Minimum Job Requirements 1.
Ability to communicate effectively in English 2.
Ability to work unsupervised 3.
Ability to lead direct and indirect reports toward the achievement of their goals 4.
Completely trustworthy, ethical, reliable and dependable 5.
Knowledge of the tire business strongly preferred:
commercial and retail 6.
Customer-focused 7.
TIA-Certified or willing to become so in 3 months (CTS and ATS) 8.
CPR and First-Responder certified or willing to become so in 6 months 9.
Positive, can-do attitude 10.
