5 Quick Apply 7 hours ago Full Job Description Supervisor - Quality Assurance Job Description SUMMARY Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory, customer requirements as well as the Company SQF System.
Update and maintain Quality Assurance Specifications and procedural KNOW-HOW Training Manual.
Facilitate QA Training of company employees in GMP's and new and existing procedures/programs.
Responsible for maintaining Positive Release Program and QA Hold log.
Administer plant environmental testing program and identify testing locations.
Experience and understanding of microbiology in order to develop and maintain a microbiological and analytical testing programs.
Oversee line conformance and select and test products at specified stages in production process.
Basic food technology skills with relationship between ingredients and processes.
Plan and assign work of Quality Assurance Technicians.
Knowledge to develop product and ingredient specifications and basic statistical skills.
Responsible to verify product formulations and all associated documentation.
Lead the process of investigating quality issues with input of all departments.
Knowledge of all facets of quality programs to substitute for QA Manager in manager's absence and assume necessary operational and administrative duties.
Drive the resolution of foreign material investigations as well as customer complaints.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, ingredients, processes or food safety system.
Perform facility condition/cleanliness audits of all areas of the plant, GMP and 5S audits as well as warehouse inspections.
Be responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relations among co-workers Investigate and adjust personnel problems within area of responsibility.
Responsible for inspection function in terms of costs, methods and personnel.
Be on time and at the job on a consistent basis.
Other duties may be assigned.
