## Position Summary
Employment at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is provided under a program of financial assistance to students and will not be covered for unemployment benefits per Nebraska Revised Statute 48-604 (6)(j).
The Archives & Special Collections at the UNO Criss Library is responsible for collecting, preserving, making available to the university community and public the specialized, rare, and unique material in the Arthur Paul Afghanistan Collection, University Archives, U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel Archives, and Special Collections & Rare Books. Under the general direction of the Director of Archives & Special Collections and the specific direction of an archivist or librarian, the Archives & Special Collections Student Assistant assists with the arrangement and description of collections and provides excellent customer service while working in the Archives & Special Collections reading room.

Responsibilities for this position: Work with department staff on projects as assigned; Assist with data maintenance; Arrange & describe collections; Assist users in the department's reading room; Digitize and describe material and assist with digital projects; Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Schedule: Approximately 15-19 hours per week flexibly scheduled Monday-Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.

Experience using a desktop computer, MS Office suite packages. Ability to follow directions. Ability to work independently. Ability and willingness to communicate clearly.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
