Various Positions and Hours Available
-Greets parents and children with smile and a warm and pleasant greeting. Interacts with members and their children in a friendly and professional manner.
-Provides exceptional customer service by responding to member needs and concerns.
-Involves self with the children in their care through playing games, reading stories, etc.
-Responds quickly, efficiently and professionally to any emergency situation; completes necessary paperwork and notifies the appropriate professional staff member.
-Engages children in positive, interactive activities while they are in the Y-Care Center.
-Provides a positive environment for all participants and actively encourages participation to ensure growth and development.
-Must maintain control and account for the whereabouts and safety of children, including arrival and departure.
-Ensures basic care of all children's needs are met (changing of diapers & feedings).
-All other duties as assigned and required.
-High school diploma or GED ; must be at least 16 years of age.
-CPR and First Aid Certifications required; thorough knowledge of the YMCA emergency policy and procedures.
-Must maintain a high level of concentration for extended periods of time.
-Previous customer service experience desirable.
-Must possess excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
-Individual must possess maturity, sound judgment, with the ability to resolve conflicts in a professional and tactful
manner.
-Must possess management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
-On-site attendance is required of this position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
