Examples of Work:
This position serves under the authority of the Chief Probation Officer and is responsible for the supervision of substance abuse clients. Responsible for the day-to-day activities of substance abuse clients in the community and communicate with local providers and stakeholders. The position possesses the same statutory responsibilities and authority as a traditional, community-based intervention probation officer or SSAS officer. Facilitate the treatment process of clients which may include attending treatment groups and communicating with providers under the guidelines of the Standardized Model. Evaluate substance abuse clients; match substance abuse clients' needs to the appropriate treatment modality or service; establish appropriate case plans for clients; participate in specialized training that addresses the supervision of specialized clients; create partnerships with stakeholders in the community; interpret data as it applies to successful performance standards for clients; involve clients in early stages of behavioral changes through targeted treatment; facilitate groups which may include cognitive restructuring, skill building, life skills enhancement and general education of clients; conduct interviews and investigations as required by law or a court; cooperate with and render assistance to other probation officers.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in the social sciences, criminal justice, or related fieldsANDthree yearsof experience providing case management and/or completion of investigations,AND Licensedin the State of Nebraska as a Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Social Worker or Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Standardized Model cognitive skill building, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, and social learning theory; ability to communicate effectively; ability to acquaint oneself with judges, court staff, school personnel, mental health facilities, alcohol and drug programs, vocational rehabilitation programs; ability to assess individual and group behavior; motivate clients toward self-improvement using evidence-based practice skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
