## Position Summary
The Department of Economics is seeking a scholar with an expertise in Economic Education to serve as Director of UNO's Center for Economic Education and as such will be collaborating with Omaha area elementary and post-secondary schools, businesses and other organizations in support of the mission of the Center. The new hire will also fill departmental needs by teaching micro and macroeconomics at the principles level as well as other specialization courses as needed.

The College of Business at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) an AACSB accredited institution is located in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska, a metropolitan area with an MSA population of approximately 877,000. Omaha is home to five Fortune 500 firms and has a strong entrepreneurial business environment. UNO offers about 200 programs of study to approximately 12,200 undergraduate and 2,850 graduate students. Despite its size, small classes are the norm.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field. Research and teaching interests in Economic Education is required and community engagement is essential for this position.
Experience teaching large sections of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles courses to a diverse student population, as well as upper-divisional, specialized courses to Economics student majors highly desirable.
