POSITION
Summary: The Assistant Site Director maintains effective communication with the Site Director and has the overall responsibility of leading the afterschool program daily activities; direct service delivery of after school and summer programming as assigned at the Site.
1. Leads, participates in and is responsible for daily program activities
2. Participates in staff meetings, fieldtrips, non-school day events, necessary trainings and required school events as assigned
3. Provide direct supervision of youth. Leave no youth unattended
4. Assist in maintaining daily attendance via NFocus, snack sheets and other administrative duties
5. Adhere to Program Policy and Procedures; maintain program consistency
6. Assist in daily clean-up of supplies, materials classrooms, cafeteria and office
7. Participates in afterschool/summer program planning and design
8. Be actively engaged through positive interactions with youth, parents, staff and school faculty
9. Reports any endangered situations immediately to Site Director, Security and/or Principal
10. Write lesson plans
11. Effectively communicate and mentor teens
12. Coordinate and supervise projects, youth-organized events and family nights as needed

Experience, Education and Certification(s):

The incumbent will be required to understand the basic philosophy, nature and goals of the YMCA and have developed sound skills in human relations.
