Internal Sales Specialist - Agency Sales Management Development Team - This position supports regional sales teams and various Agency Sales field offices in the areas of:
1. Leadership and Culture
2. Recruiting and Selection
3. Supervision and Accountability
4. Business Development
5. Sales Training.
Essential Job Functions:
Contributes to the development and implementation of comprehensive communication and training plans and materials for our on-line university
Create and deliver classroom training, distance learning workshops (webinars), and teleconferences
Travel periodically to field offices to facilitate training with field mentors and/or field managers (25-30% travel expected)
Manage and train internal customers on client contact management system and needs analysis tool
Proactively place outbound phone calls to agents and/or field managers
Participate in case consultations with agents and/or field managers
May coordinate the design, testing and generation of new management reports as business requirements dictate. Partners with business areas to define solutions and resolve technical issues
Develops and administers documentation of projects, recommendations, and implementation procedures. Communicates project outcomes in a clear, effective, and timely manner to necessary parties in the business area and other customer areas.
Develops and maintains current knowledge of the Agency Sales distribution, Mutual of Omaha practices, the insurance industry, and the financial services business environment. Improves understanding of business system tools, practices, and methodologies.

Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:
Knowledge of individual insurance products, the insurance industry, related legislation, and business operation procedures and practices.
Experience in a position requiring regular interaction with field sales managers
Strong oral and written communication, human relations, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Creativity, diplomacy, sound judgment, and initiative.
Ability to meet stringent deadlines, to work independently and as part of a team, to guide and train others, and to provide excellent customer service.
Strong knowledge of administrative systems, applications, office and testing tools in a business environment. Experience with PC based office tools, such as, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge of individual life, health, and annuity products
Experience with insurance industry training and/or recruiting (classroom training, facilitating webinars, prospecting, or leadership development).
Experience within a career agency sales distribution.
Understanding of effective sales methodologies

This position requires 25-30% travel, which may include flying and/or driving and some over night stays.
