Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, but following existing policies and procedures as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, is responsible for originating and servicing all types of commercial loans Responsible for interviewing loan applicants, explaining loan programs available, and underwriting loan requests. Directs the processing, documentation, and closing of loan within area of responsibility. May also serve as a member of the Loan Committee.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Interviews loan applicants applying for commercial and construction loans to identify applicant's businesses, needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk. (20% - E)
2. Obtains and directs the analysis of all necessary financial and credit data for underwriting the loan request. (15% - E)
3. Makes decisions on loans and terms within assigned lending limits or makes recommendations to management and/or Loan Committee as needed. (15% - E)
4. Directs the preparation of all reports necessary for presentation of the loan the Loan Committee. (10% - E)
5. Directs the processing, documentation, and closing of loans and responsible for compliance with approved term, conditions, established lending policies, and regulations. (10% - E)
6. Responsible for servicing and collecting of loans after closing. (15% - E)
7. Calls potential or existing customer to develop new business and increase or retain existing business. (5% - E)
8. Regularly cross sells other bank/subsidiary products and services to customers. (5% - M)
9. All other special projects, reports and duties as assigned. (5% - M)
Minimum Education & Other Requirements
Must possess the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to effectively perform the essential functions of this position. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 5
years commercial lending experience is necessary. A college degree in Finance or Business and/or significant relevant experience is required.
