Examples of Work:
This a paraprofessional support assignment responsible for tracking data related to Child and Family Services activities. Collect and summarize data from statistical, accounting, administrative, and/or other records to measure progress and to facilitate program planning. Compile records and/or reports to record accomplishments and/or to provide staff with information for making decisions on workload, budgeting, and staffing, Include reviewing and distributing all incoming court orders, tracking exceptions to emergency foster care placements, collecting and organizing specific program data as requested by multiple Child and Family Services administrators, and related general supportive services duties.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods, including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of record keeping. Prefer knowledge in agency policy and procedures specific to Child and Family Services. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing to exchange information and ideas; summarize technical data and results of research and monitoring activities into reports; understand and apply oral and written instructions, administrative policies, and program guidelines; implement program objectives, performance goals, and work priorities to carry out assigned activities. Some post-high school training and/or experience in use of MS office Suite including Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel. Valid driver's license required or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
