The DTN division within Schneider Electric is seeking a highly qualified Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team. This is an exciting opportunity that will offer a combined role of automated testing (25%) and manual testing (75%). The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products, from the definition of test strategies and plans, creation of automated test scripts, rigorous test execution, to final production deployment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid leadership skills, and understanding of functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing in a distributed application environment. This individual will join a team focused on the enhancements of existing products as well as the creation and design of new products.
Essential Functions:
Develop, apply and maintain teststrategies, test plans and test scripts for server applications.
Develop, apply and maintainautomated regression testing scripts, performance and load testing scripts.
Lead the QA effort on designatedprojects.
Follow established process for defecttracking and reporting, including logging defects in a detailed andreproducible way.
Analyzeformal test results in order to discover, document and resolve defects, bugs,errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Analyzeapplication documentation and technical specifications to determine itsintended functionality.
Ensurethat new software meets functional requirements, system compliance, andinterface specifications are met and implemented successfully.
Providereporting and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data,logging, and tracking.
Communicatetest progress, test results, and other relevant information to projectstakeholders and management.
Represent QA on cross-functionalproject teams.
Estimate testing requirements forinput into planning efforts.
Communicate test estimate, testprogress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholdersand management.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
7 years of Quality Assurance Testing experience is required, with 2 years of project lead experience.
2years of experience working with HP Quality Center managing test scripts.
2years of experience with scripting test automation tools preferably QTP
Experience testing in Agile Environment/Scrum.
Experience testingautomating web service (REST and SOAP) using tools like HP Service Test, SOAP UI and Soap Scope is desired.
Experience with performance testing with tools like HP Load Runner, Load Impact andor JMeter is desired.
Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Must be self-directed with a high degree of initiative.
Must have good project management skills and keen attention to detail.
Must have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Must have excellent written and communication skills including tact and diplomacy to maintain a cooperative relationship with development and business entities.
