Position Overview
This position performs assignment specific engineering and construction management duties and assists in facilitating and implementing the quality program. These duties may include reviewing and preparing welding procedure specifications, conducting welder performance qualification testing and maintaining quality records. You'll also be responsible for performing weld inspections, monitoring weld repair rate and assist in weld repair root cause analysis. Conducting non-destructive examinations, reviewing of sub-contractor processes and qualifications, as well as NDE coordination and reporting are activities that you'll take part in on a daily basis. Jobsites are located throughout the United States, so travel is required.
Qualifications
Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, welding technology or related field.
Working knowledge of quality control procedures relating to construction activities.
ASQ, CQM, CQA or CWI certified and inspection experience a plus.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements is preferred.
The ability to travel and/or relocate as required.
