Teller - 25 hours per week - Lakeside Branch
This job posting is reflective of the Teller essential functions, qualifications, and physical requirements. The Teller and Senior Teller levels have variable essential functions, qualifications and physical requirements. Competency and skill set will determine level of placement within the posted job family.
Basic Functions:
Processes transactions accurately and efficiently and performs customer service functions to contribute to the retention of Company Business. Supports the customer service process for products administered by the Bank to ensure quality and effective customer service to bank patrons. Handles more routine inquiries and elevates more complex issues as appropriate. Identifies sales opportunities and refers potential business to the Personal Banking team.
Essential Job Functions:
Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using appropriate systems
Performs sound customer service for routine inquiries and may assist with more complex cases as directed or as appropriate
Accurately enter customer transactions into proper system to record transactions and generate receipts
Verifies signatures and other information for identification and fraud prevention on financial instruments presented for deposit or withdrawal
Processes transactions for various bank products and
services
including safe deposit boxes, money orders, cashier checks, savings bonds, credit card and cash advances, etc.
Explains and cross-sells products and services to current and prospective customers, referring business to Personal Banking. Keeps current on the latest products and services available
Performs clerical duties such as answering calls, processing incoming mail and deliveries, filing and light typing
Achieve compliance certification and use knowledge of compliance/CRA regulations in day to day activities
This position may require occasional standing or walking for extended periods of time

Qualifications
This position requires a background with the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of banking products and services
One year prior cash handling experience
One year customer service
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to keyboard and use
computer
to process work
Ability to be accurate and show strong attention to detail
Strong decision making ability
Previous banking experience preferred
